Terms and Conditions
Policy: We aim to treat our customers as we like to be treated ourselves so don't like "small print", but to comply with the EC Distance Selling Directive and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we're required to show our standard terms and conditions of sale before accepting any orders. You should note that your statutory rights under the current consumer protection laws are not affected.
Supply: We aim to supply the products described on this web site in a timely manner. Our raw fabric is nearly always available for despatch within 24 hours, and often the same day if ordered before 2pm. With larger orders of fabric or when stock of a particular product is running low we may sometimes need to wait for new stock deliveries to fulfil the order, but if this is the case we’ll notify you of any delays by e-mail as soon as we start processing the order and you have the option of asking for a refund if the wait is not acceptable to you.
Contact: We will contact you in connection with your order and keep you well informed should we have any difficulties providing you with the specific goods purchased. We will only contact you with a newsletter style e-mail to let you know about our latest offers and products if you have chosen to opt-in during checkout, but this will be monthly at most and you obviously have the option to unsubscribe if you wish.
Delivery: We will e-mail you to confirm when your order has been posted, but obviously we do rely on Royal Mail and other UK / international postal/courier services to deliver your goods, companies who's performance and reliability is generally excellent but ultimately beyond our control. Therefore, if your parcel does not arrive within 10 working days of your shipping notification to a UK address or 28 days to a European or Worldwide address, please let us know via e-mail either using the form on our website or by replying to the order confirmation e-mail. As soon as we're aware of the delay we'll investigate with the courier and if necessary offer a refund or despatch a replacement parcel providing the selected goods are available for despatch.
Refunds: In the unlikely event that the goods supplied are defective and a replacement is not acceptable, a full refund will be offered and payment made back to your Credit Card or Paypal account upon return of the goods in as new condition, and we will also reimburse the postage cost or send you a pre-paid envelope to return in. If you simply want to return the goods because you no longer want them, a refund can be offered if you contact us within 14 days of delivery. Once the goods have been returned in as-new condition at your own cost we will process the refund minus any shipping costs associated with the order.
Payment: As a UK company, all orders are charged to you in UK Pounds (£) inclusive of 20% VAT for customers within the EU. Customers outside of the EU will be billed without VAT applied (this will only occur during checkout) although please be aware that you may be liable for VAT/import taxes in your own country which are beyond our control.
Complaints: Our aim is to maintain a happy relationship with all of our customers, so if there are any problems with your order or with the service we provide then please do contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and we’ll endeavour to rectify any issues to your full satisfaction.
Law and Jurisdiction: Any contract for your purchase from Rooftop Fabrics is governed by the Law of England and Wales, and you agree that such contract will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the England and Wales courts.
